Effective Workouts

It’s a great luxury to be able to workout at home, but it does have its downs as well. Sometimes it can be hard to completely commit to the workout. The phone starts to ring, your kids need help, the dryer just beeped, you know what I am talking about. But there are several tricks to make sure that if you workout at home, you can get the best workout.
First, blast the music. Research shows that working out to music makes your workouts more intense, especially if you’re listening to fast paced songs. It also helps to pass the time faster and enjoy the workout a bit more.
Next up, schedule your time wisely. Even if you have to write it on a dry erase board, tell everyone in the house what time you will be working out and that this is “your time”, that means no interruptions unless it’s a real emergency. This will make sure you stay in the moment, knowing that for your scheduled hour this is all you have to do!
And lastly, load up on home workout gear. It doesn’t take a lot but there are a few workout essentials that I recommend everyone having if you’re working out at home. A few sets of dumbbells ranging in weights from 5 lbs to 20 lbs. A jump rope; an exercise ball; and a few exercise bands. That’s all and then you will have a complete gym that can give your body a complete makeover.
Of course you can only get the best results by having good workout plans. A workout planned around your fitness goals. What you plan to accomplish will dictate the exercises and the overall layout of your exercise routines.
