How to grow salvia
Salvia has been considered a sacred plant by the ancient people. It was first discovered by the Swedish anthropologists in 1930s, when they were researching on the medicinal herbs in Mexico. Today, the planned cultivation of the salvia is going on in many countries like USA, Canada and some European countries.
The cultivation and the usage of the salvia have got a legal status in these countries. The salvia is available in as herb, leaves, plant, seed, plant cutting and extracts. It can be purchased online and at the flower shops throughout the USA.
The cultivation of the salvia is not difficult and it is easy to propagate it. The filtered natural light, moisture and the 70 degree temperature are the ideal requirements of salvia. At first the Salvia divinorum seedlings are delicate and take some time to grow. It takes two to three weeks for the small cuttings to root and in the beginning it requires proper care.
The deep shades and the strong direct lights are not good for the salvia. Occasionally, spraying salvia with the mist is a good idea. The stems of the salvia are not very strong and when the plant grows taller it requires the support otherwise it will fall with its own weight.
