Young Poker Players
Young Poker players are increasingly making names for themselves as they beat the old, experienced, veterans of the game at big poker tournaments such as the WPT or WSOP. These young guns are learning to play the game in numerous online poker tournaments which are held at any time of the day for any stake amount. The constant availability of online poker has helped younger players learn the tricks and trades of the game, with many heading to the big tournaments prepared to take on the pros.
21 year old Jeff “Yellowsub86” Williams is one of the young rising stars in the poker world after winning the European Poker title earlier this year. Williams was tipped for big things in this year’s WSOP event and will be playing in event 5 ($1,000 buy in no Limit Hold’em event). From Atlanta, Williams has earned an incredible $1,374,696 already in his early poker career. He goes into the final round of the event well positioned in fourth place with 683,000 chips. Chip leader is Michael Banducci with 1,655,000 chips. Banducci is another young player at the age of only 22 and the Canadian will be looking to add to his already impressive $933,114 career earnings with a win at the WSOP.
Keeping up to date with all the poker news can be difficult but there are several sites now dedicated to keeping fans and players informed of all the biggest deals and stories. Online poker is growing and more players are learning the ropes playing on the internet, resulting in an explosion of growth in the game.
